Fireproof up to 1200°C / 2100°F; the Cryptosteel beats fire-resistance Class 350-4.

Vault ratings measure the way materials protect what is inside a vault. So, a Class 350-4 strongbox can keep paper documents intact for a minimum of 4 hours with temperatures up to 1093.3°C/2000°F outside the vault. For Cryptosteel, the fire can burn even hotter and longer with absolutely none of the warping that could put your data at risk.

Cryptosteel stays strong as steel even under water. Impervious to plain water and highly resistant to acids and other corrosive substances.

While 316-grade steel and other alloys claim higher corrosion resistance in extreme-pH environments, these materials are susceptible to warping, offering less reliable protection against natural disaster. Even in shipbuilding, the parts that require maximum resistance to both corrosion and wear are made of 304-grade stainless steel.

Few materials are as impervious to lightning strikes, bombs, nuclear events and vertical drops as Cryptosteel’s hard-wearing 304-grade German steel, which we use to make all product components. Thanks to our tested design and meticulous in-house assembly, the strength of our top-of-the-line material is transferred into each Cryptosteel unit.
